About Michael Williams
Our team is led by Michael Williams who offers over thirty years of experience working in resource-based, energy and capital intensive industries such as iron, steel, ferroalloys, cement, quicklime, mining, and waste-derived biofuels.
Prior to founding Altus Energy, Michael was General Manager Operations for Adelaide Brighton Cement. In this role, he was responsible for managing more than 15 manufacturing, mining, and marine operations Australia-wide with 478 permanent employees, an annual operating budget of $550m, and an annual energy expenditure of $130m.
Michael has a Masters Degree in Applied Finance and Investment, a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering, a Bachelor of Applied Economics and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course. He is Six Sigma Black Belt trained and uses a combination of Six Sigma processes and tools to analyse and identify efficiency improvements.
Michael is now back at Adelaide Brighton Cement (Adbri Ltd) but continues to help businesses to reduce their energy costs through his tried and tested 9-step framework.
Tom Brdanovic
Tom Brdanovic is a CEC-accredited Solar PV designer and off-grid installer with a
background in engineering and technical design. As passionate as he is about renewable energy, he knows that reducing your energy use is wiser than just making your own. Developing smarter ways to conduct business, saving energy and increasing productivity, is Tom’s specialty.Tom’s background in technical production means that he not only identifies solutions, but follows through with design, procurement, and implementation assistance. His management and organisational oversight ensures a consistent, excellent result for all clients.
Rachel Brdanovic
Rachel Brdanovic has provided energy auditing solutions for her clients over the past eight years. She specialises in identifying opportunities and creating sustainable change in businesses and organisations. Her Master of Sustainability degree provides a broad understanding of many sustainability based issues, and as a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Rachel collects and analyses data to assist clients to make informed decisions relating to best practice equipment upgrades and purchases.
As a qualified trainer and Living Smart facilitator, Rachel also provides interesting and engaging presentations to management and staff.
